NEW SCHOOL INFORMATION

MEPC met with Aberdeen City Council officials from Roads, Facilities and local councillors on Wednesday 24th February to discuss a number of queries parents have put forward about safe routes to school. As a result, information on the website and in the School Mail regarding positioning of road crossing patrollers could change. We will have confirmation of their final decision next week and will update this site accordingly.

MEPC have been working with Dawn Haggarty, Safe routes to School Officer, and have collated the responses from parents’ queries into these 6 documents -

National Parent Council

The NPFS met yesterday in Glasgow and took some big strides towards becoming the independent parental body, recognised/supported by the Scottish Government.

Setting the NPFS wheels in motion up till now has been David Cameron, Outgoing President of ADES(Association of Directors of Education Scotland) and Lorraine Sanda the National Parental Involvement co-ordinator for Scotland.
Through their hard endeavours, the NPFS has now been given many opportunities to have representation within pertinent national bodies including The General Teaching Council For Scotland (GTCS).

Please read attached documents for the latest information this group has achieved.
